Ms Njeri Murage is passionate about GIS Technology, Space Science and Earth Observations. Having previously worked for ESRI Eastern Africa, she is an experienced Solutions Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. She co-founded the Women in GIS Kenya initiative and is active in the Student Consortium for Human Rights Advocacy (SCOHRA) and Amnesty International Kenya.
Sophia is enthusiastic about spatial data visualization and would like to integrate her skills in spatial technology, computer programming, geo-visualization, and program management to bring about creative innovations and positive change in this sector and beyond. She is presently pursuing her second Master’s programme in GeoInformation Science and Earth Observation, at the University of Twente, The Netherlands.
As the Technical Director of WiGISKe her vision is to see the organisation make a difference in the world by using the talent pool of its community to create solutions and visualize that make a difference in the world. She lives her life by the words of Ghandi “Be the change you wish to see in the world“.
